Tenzo AI provides AI-powered phone screens and structured candidate interviews.
Tenzo AI's integration with Greenhouse Recruiting helps recruiting teams trigger Tenzo interviews from Greenhouse, keep core candidate and job context in sync, and write interview outcomes back to Greenhouse so hiring teams can review results in the ATS.
Configure the Tenzo AI integration
Prerequisites
Permissions
- Greenhouse: The user connecting the integration should be a Site Admin, different user roles will not be able to connect the integration.
- Tenzo: You must be a Tenzo Admin (or have a Tenzo role that grants access to Admin settings and integrations).
What you will need
- Access to your Greenhouse Recruiting account
- Access to your Tenzo Admin account
- Ability to complete an OAuth authorization flow in a web browser
Connect Tenzo AI to Greenhouse
In Tenzo, go to Admin > ATS Integrations > Add A New ATS Integration.
Search for Greenhouse V3.
When Greenhouse opens, sign in as a Site Admin.
Review the permissions, and authorize using a service account. That keeps the connection on an organization service account instead of an individual user. Only Site Admins can take this action.
Approve the request. You are redirected back to Tenzo, and the integration shows as connected.
Configure sync and workflow settings in Tenzo
After connecting, configure how Tenzo should behave for your team.
In Tenzo, open Admin > ATS Integrations > Configuration.
Recommended configuration
Your Tenzo Customer Success Manager will walk you through every step of this process, but if you would like to self-service, you can set any of the fields in the configuration to decide how Tenzo and Greenhouse will behave together.
See detailed support docs for what every field means here: https://docs.tenzo.ai/settings/ats-settings
To decide which jobs are available in Tenzo (and thus have AI interviews), see the rules engine setup here: https://docs.tenzo.ai/ats-integrations/rules-engine
Some of the decisions you will need to make include:
A) Scope of sync
- Choose which jobs are available in Tenzo (for example, all open jobs or a specific subset).
- Choose which candidate and application fields Tenzo should pull from Greenhouse for context.
B) Trigger rules
- Stage-based trigger: When a candidate is moved into a configured stage in Greenhouse, Tenzo sends the interview invite.
- Manual trigger: A recruiter triggers a Tenzo interview from Tenzo or Greenhouse.
C) Interview template mapping
- Map Greenhouse jobs, departments, or offices to Tenzo interview templates.
- Configure per-template settings such as language, phone screen format, and question set.
D) Result writing behavior
- Choose where Tenzo writes results in Greenhouse (PDF, activity feed note, and/or a result URL).
Tenzo recommends talking through these with your Tenzo Customer Success Manager to ensure you choose the options best for you.

Disconnect the integration
A Site Admin or a permissioned user can disconnect OAuth-connected integrations from Greenhouse.
- In Greenhouse, go to Configure > Dev Center > Connected integrations.
- Find Tenzo AI and click Disconnect to revoke access.
Use the Tenzo AI integration
- The candidate reaches the Tenzo AI stage (could be the second stage upon apply).
- (optional) Candidate runs through Tenzo AI resume review
- (if set to be automatic) Tenzo reaches out to the candidate via SMS/Phone Call/Email/WhatsApp (depending on settings), collects responses, and writes back all results into Greenhouse. Candidate stage is updated accordingly.
- Recruiter can review results directly in Greenhouse
