AI Insights gives you a plain-language read of what a dashboard is telling you. Instead of working through each chart and table yourself, open Insights to see a short briefing on the dashboard and a ranked list of the most notable findings in your data.
Before you begin
- AI Insights is available when your organization has AI features turned on in Greenhouse Recruiting.
- Insights are generated from the charts, tables and pivots on a dashboard. A dashboard with only notes or text has nothing to analyze.
- Insights only use data you already have permission to see in Analytics.
Open AI Insights
- Open a dashboard in Analytics.
- Click Insights at the top right of the dashboard.
- The Insights panel opens next to your dashboard while Greenhouse analyzes it. You'll see Analyzing your dashboard… until the results are ready.
What you'll see
Dashboard briefing: a one- or two-sentence summary of what the dashboard shows overall.
Prioritized insights: a list of findings, ordered from most to least confident. Each insight has:
- A short headline, for example a change in applications over time or a stage where candidates are dropping off
- One sentence of supporting evidence from your data
- A confidence score and level, for example 98% · High. Levels are High, Medium or Low.
Tip: Insights look across all of the dashboard's charts and tables together, so a single insight can draw on more than one tile.
How insights are generated
- Greenhouse reads each chart's, table's and pivot's title, type and settings, along with the dashboard's active global filters, and samples the underlying data.
- To check its findings, the AI can run read-only queries against the data views behind the dashboard. It never changes your data, data views or dashboard.
- Insights reflect the dashboard as it is when they're generated, including any global filters you've applied.
When insights update
Insights are saved after they're generated, so reopening a dashboard shows the existing results right away. New insights are generated when:
- The dashboard's charts, tables or pivots change, or
- Analytics data refreshes, which typically happens about once a day.
Note: There's no manual refresh button.
Troubleshooting
- Add a chart, table, or pivot to this dashboard to generate insights. The dashboard has no data tiles to analyze. Add a visualization, then open Insights again.
- No insights available for this dashboard yet. Greenhouse analyzed the dashboard but didn't find any insights to report.
- Couldn't generate insights: Something went wrong while generating. Click Try again.
- Insights aren't available for this dashboard: Something in the dashboard's content couldn't be analyzed safely, so insights were not generated.
Good to know
Note: AI-generated insights can be wrong. Check anything important against the dashboard itself before acting on it or sharing it.
- AI Insights summarizes the dashboard as a whole. It doesn't answer follow-up questions or create insights for individual charts.
- Insights aren't sent on a schedule or by email. They appear only when you open the panel.
