Eightfold offers a Talent Intelligence Platform (TIP) built on AI technology that increases the effectiveness of talent operations. With Eightfold, you can enable your Recruiting and HR teams to reach their goals for engagement, recruitment, retention, diversity, and employee development.
This connection automatically exports data from Greenhouse into Eightfold and syncs changes in Eightfold back into Greenhouse, including advancing, moving, and rejecting applications, adding candidates, and adding notes and tags.
Create a connection for the Eightfold integration
To begin, you’ll set up the connection from your organization's Eightfold Admin Console.
Note: A Greenhouse Site Admin must complete these steps.
In your Eightfold Admin Console, go to Integrations > greenhouse > Connectivity > Basic Connectivity.
Under O-Auth, click Connect with Greenhouse.
A Greenhouse authorization page opens and lists the access Eightfold needs. Enter your email and click Log in to Greenhouse. Use a Site Admin account.
To approve, select Authorize using a service account, then click Authorize. Learn more
You'll see Greenhouse connected successfully, and the window closes automatically.
Back in Eightfold, the O-Auth section shows Access token generated. Click Test Connectivity to verify the connection, then save.
Data Eightfold reads and writes
Eightfold reads candidates, applications, jobs, job posts, scorecards, EEOC data, and users.
Eightfold writes back notes, emails, application answers, rejections, stage changes, new applications, and new candidates.
Use the Eightfold integration with Greenhouse
After you connect, Eightfold syncs your candidates, positions, and applications from Greenhouse through sync jobs, and writes changes made in Eightfold back to Greenhouse in near real time.
Sync candidate data from Greenhouse
The following candidate and prospect data in your Greenhouse instance will sync to Eightfold:
- When a new candidate is added to Greenhouse
- When existing candidates are updated or move stages
- When candidates apply through your careers page or any other means that would normally add them to Greenhouse (synced as applicants on a pipeline)
- When interview feedback, notes, and email correspondence are logged on a candidate's profile
Your Greenhouse candidates appear in Eightfold’s Candidates list, so recruiters can search and filter them in one place. Open a candidate to see their detailed profile.
Sync job data from Greenhouse
Confidential jobs will only be visible to the creator of the confidential job or any users assigned to that job. If a user cannot view the confidential job in Greenhouse, they will be unable to view it in Eightfold.
Closed jobs are searchable from the global search bar in the top left corner of the screen. You'll need the job's req number to search for it here.
Sync applications from Greenhouse
Applications sync from Greenhouse as well. You can view them under a position on the Applicants tab, or on a candidate’s profile on the Applications tab, because positions and candidates are linked.
View your custom job application questions on the Eightfold candidate profile in the Applications section of the Recruiting Activity feed.

*Sync Jobs - Greenhouse to Eightfold updates run as sync jobs. By default, sync jobs run every 30 minutes, and the frequency can be configured to client's requirement.
