What candidates and your team see

The interview language controls the candidate's experience, candidate-facing pages, and the transcript will be set in your selected language. Everything your hiring team sees in Voice AI stays in English.

In the interview language In English
  • The spoken interview
  • Candidate-facing pages and disclaimers, including opt-in and opt-out language
  • The candidate welcome screen, if you translate it (see Translate the candidate welcome screen)
  • The interview transcript
  • The Voice AI app your team uses to set up and review interviews
  • Scores and summaries

Set the interview language

The interview language is set for each interview. To set it:

In Voice AI, go to Interviews > AI Interviews and open the interview. Select Interview and team settings. Under General, open the Interview language dropdown and select a language.

Note: If candidates have already started this interview, changing the language only applies to candidates who start the interview afterward.

Choose an English accent

When the interview language is English, an Accent dropdown appears below Interview language. Accent options are only available for English. Ezra speaks with an American accent by default. You can choose:

  • American (default)
  • British
  • Australian

Translate the candidate welcome screen

The candidate welcome screen is the landing page candidates see before the interview. By default, it's filled in with your job description, and candidates see it exactly as written — it isn't translated automatically.

To translate it into the interview language:

  • Open the interview and select Candidate welcome screen.
  • Click Translate to [language]. For example, if the interview language is Spanish, click Translate to Spanish.
  • Review the translated content and make any edits.
  • Click Save.

Note: Translation of the welcome screen is AI-generated. Review the translated text before you save, since saved changes replace the default welcome screen content for candidates.

Frequently asked questions

Can candidates choose their own interview language?

No. Your team sets the language for each interview, and every candidate invited to that interview completes it in that language.

Will scores and summaries be in the candidate's language?

No. Scores, summaries, and the rest of what your team sees in Voice AI stay in English. The transcript is in the interview language.

Is my language on the list?

If a language isn't listed in Supported languages, Voice AI doesn't support it yet.

Does a candidate's accent affect their score?

No. Voice AI scores what candidates say, not how they say it. Accent, tone, and speaking style don't affect scores.
