engin provides an ATS-connected recruiting intelligence dashboard that enables employers to view and analyze jobs, candidates, applications, and recruiting activity from their applicant tracking system.
engin's integration with Greenhouse Recruiting enables customers to securely connect their Greenhouse account to engin. The integration syncs jobs, candidates, applications, application stages, hiring-team users, and CV attachments with engin. It also allows engin to write selected information back to Greenhouse, including adding notes to analyzed applications and moving applications between customer-configured stages. By default, applications moved to the "engin-screen" stage trigger analysis by Suzy, engin's AI interviewer.
Configure the engin integration
Prerequisites:
- A Greenhouse Site Admin account.
- A unique Greenhouse connection link generated for the specific customer integration.
Configuration steps:
engin provides the customer with the unique setup wizard link for their Greenhouse connection.
The customer opens the setup wizard link and follows the connection flow for Greenhouse Recruiting.
In the setup wizard, the customer reviews the requested Greenhouse permissions and proceeds to authorize Greenhouse.
Sign in to Greenhouse as a Site Admin.
Review and approve the requested permissions in the Greenhouse OAuth prompt.
If prompted, provision the Greenhouse service account for the integration.
After authorization, the connection is complete and engin can begin syncing Greenhouse data for that customer.
Allow the initial sync to complete before relying on Greenhouse data inside engin.
Data actions
- engin reads Greenhouse jobs and job postings for recruitment marketing and job advertising.
- Candidates apply directly in the Greenhouse ATS.
- engin syncs Greenhouse candidates, applications, application stages, job hiring-team users, and candidate/application CV attachments.
- engin analyzes application data, including resumes, against the job description and produces a candidate profile summary.
- For every analyzed application, engin writes the candidate summary back to the related Greenhouse application as a note.
- When a candidate is moved into the customer-configured screening trigger stage, engin can trigger an automated interview with Suzy (engin's AI interviewer). The default trigger stage is "engin-screen," but this stage can be configured per customer's request.
- After Suzy completes the interview, engin writes the interview summary back to the related Greenhouse application as a note. The note includes links to the transcript and interview recording. Recruiters need an engin login to open those links.
- engin can move applications between configured Greenhouse stages, including moving the application to the configured next stage after Suzy completes the interview.

After the integration is enabled, engin syncs Greenhouse recruiting data and uses that data for recruitment marketing, application analysis, and AI interview workflows.
Common workflow
- engin syncs jobs and job postings from Greenhouse.
- engin advertises the synced jobs for recruitment marketing. Candidates apply directly on Greenhouse.
- engin syncs application and resume data from Greenhouse and analyzes each candidate profile against the job description.
- For every analyzed application, engin writes a summary note to the related Greenhouse application.
- From engin's dashboard, recruiters are able to selectively turn AI screening on or off on selected jobs, as well as specifying the specific interview questions for the AI interviewer Suzy.
- When a candidate is moved into the customer-configured Suzy trigger stage, engin can trigger Suzy, engin's AI interviewer, to automatically interview the candidate. By default, this stage is "engin-screen."
- After the interview, engin writes the interview summary and the transcript to the related Greenhouse application as a note with links to the recording and the candidate's detailed profile, and moves the application to the customer's configured next stage.
- In engin's dashboard, recruiters can also see all candidates' details in context, along with a shortlist suggesting which candidates to contact in priority. The shortlist and the various analyses are a suggestion for work prioritization for the recruiter. Ultimately, the hiring decision lies with the recruiters.
