Hatchproof is an AI-powered skills assessment platform that helps hiring teams evaluate candidates through automated, role-specific assessments.
Hatchproof's integration with Greenhouse Recruiting allows users to automatically invite candidates to a Hatchproof skills assessment as soon as they reach a designated stage in a Greenhouse job pipeline, with results and candidate progress tracked back through the hiring workflow.
Configure the Hatchproof integration
In Hatchproof, navigate to Integrations > Greenhouse.
Click Connect. This opens Greenhouse's OAuth consent screen in a popup window.
Review the requested permissions and click Authorize (or your Greenhouse account's equivalent approval action).
Once authorized, Greenhouse redirects back to Hatchproof, which completes the connection automatically. No further setup is required — Hatchproof registers the necessary webhooks in your Greenhouse account on your behalf.
Data Hatchproof reads or writes
Hatchproof does not edit any data in your Greenhouse account. It only reads the following fields via webhook events, in order to create a matching candidate and job record inside Hatchproof:

Note: Hatchproof does not use an ISU (Identity and Single-User) setup — the integration connects at the company/account level, not per individual Greenhouse user.
Use the Hatchproof integration
Once connected, Hatchproof automatically listens for candidate stage changes in Greenhouse — no manual action is needed in Hatchproof itself.
Send a candidate to Hatchproof for assessment
In Greenhouse, first create a new stage with the name "Hatchproof Assessment". Once created, and when you deem fit, simply move the candidate's application into this new stage (this stage name must match exactly).
Hatchproof receives the stage-change event automatically and:
- Creates the candidate and job in Hatchproof if they don't already exist
- Sends the candidate an email invitation to complete their assessment
As the candidate progresses, updates are reflected back in Hatchproof automatically:
- Further stage changes update the candidate's tracked stage in Hatchproof
- Rejecting the application in Greenhouse marks the candidate as rejected in Hatchproof
- Hiring the candidate in Greenhouse marks the candidate as hired in Hatchproof
Disconnecting the integration
In Hatchproof, from Integrations > Greenhouse > Disconnect, a customer can disconnect at any time. This removes all webhooks Hatchproof registered in the Greenhouse account and deletes Hatchproof's stored access credentials — no further data is read after disconnecting.
