Complete is a compensation platform for talent, HR, and total rewards teams. Companies use Complete to build interactive offers that candidates can explore rather than read as a static PDF, to run compensation review cycles, to publish total rewards statements to employees, and to benchmark pay against market data. Complete also includes Compy, an AI compensation agent that answers pay questions for recruiters and managers.
Complete's integration with Greenhouse Recruiting allows users to pull candidate, job, and offer details from Greenhouse into Complete, generate an interactive candidate-facing offer without re-entering compensation data, keep that offer aligned with Greenhouse when details change, and optionally write the candidate's Complete offer link back into Greenhouse so recruiters can reach it from the candidate profile.
Configure the Complete integration
Before you start
- In Greenhouse Recruiting, you must be a Site Admin with permission to manage the organization's API credentials and to authorize third-party applications.
- In Complete, you must have an Admin role.
Connect Greenhouse to Complete
- In Complete, open Settings and select Integrations.
- Find Greenhouse in the list of available integrations and select Connect.
- You are redirected to Greenhouse. Sign in with a Greenhouse user that holds the permissions listed above.
- Review the access Complete is requesting and select Authorize.
- You are returned to Complete. The Greenhouse integration now shows a status of Connected, along with the date of the last successful sync.
- Complete runs an initial sync of jobs, candidates, and applications. Larger organizations may take longer for the first sync to finish.
- Confirm your field mappings with your Complete implementation contact before you create your first offer. See Fields Complete reads and writes below.
Disconnect or reauthorize
You can end Complete's access at any time from either side:
- In Complete, open Settings, select Integrations, and select Disconnect on the Greenhouse integration.
- In Greenhouse Recruiting, revoke Complete's authorization from the Dev Center.
If the connection expires or is revoked, Complete shows the integration as disconnected and existing offers already created in Complete are unaffected. Reconnect using the same steps above.
Fields Complete reads and writes
Complete reads a small, defined set of Greenhouse data. The only data Complete writes back to Greenhouse is the candidate's Complete offer link, and only if your organization enables that option.
Data Complete reads from Greenhouse
| Greenhouse field | Complete field | How it is used |
| Candidate first name, last name | Candidate name | Identifies the candidate and personalizes the offer. |
| Candidate email address | Candidate email | Used to deliver the offer link to the candidate. |
| Application ID | ATS reference | The key Complete uses to tie an offer to one specific application. Candidates with more than one application are resolved per application, not per candidate. |
| Job or requisition name | Offer job title | Populates the job title shown on the offer. |
| Office or location | Offer location | Selects the correct benefits content and the correct pay range for the offer. |
| Offer status | Offer status | Determines when an offer is eligible to be created or refreshed in Complete. |
| Start date | Start date | Displayed on the offer and used in equity vesting projections. |
| Base salary | Base salary | Commonly stored as a Greenhouse custom offer field. Mapped during implementation. |
| Bonus target (percent or amount) | Target bonus | Supports both a percentage of base and a fixed amount. |
| Equity units (ISO, NSO, RSU) | Equity grant units | Share counts. Complete accepts decimal values returned by Harvest v3. |
| Equity value | Equity grant value | Used where an organization grants by value rather than by unit count. |
| Job code or job profile | Complete job and level | Drives which compensation band and market benchmark the offer is compared against. |
| Level, zone, or geographic tier | Pay zone | Selects the correct geographic pay range. |
| Other custom fields | Mapped per customer | Any additional Greenhouse custom field can be mapped to a Complete field during implementation. |
Data Complete writes to Greenhouse
| Complete field | Greenhouse field | Notes |
| Candidate offer link | Custom candidate field | Optional. Requires your team to create a custom field on the candidate profile in Greenhouse first. Complete writes the URL of the candidate's interactive offer so recruiters can open it from Greenhouse. |
Note: Complete does not create, edit, approve, or delete Greenhouse offers, and does not move candidates between stages.
A note on mapping
Greenhouse compensation data usually lives in custom offer fields, and those fields differ from one organization to the next. For that reason, Complete confirms your specific mapping with you during implementation rather than assuming a fixed schema. If you change or rename a Greenhouse field after go live, contact Complete support so the mapping can be updated.
Use the Complete integration
Create an offer in Complete from a Greenhouse candidate
This is the most common workflow. It replaces manual entry of compensation details into the offer.
- In Complete, open Offers and select Create from ATS.
- Search for the candidate by name, email address, or Greenhouse application ID.
- Select the correct application. If the candidate has applied to more than one job, each application appears separately so you can pick the one carrying the offer.
- Complete pre-fills the offer with the mapped Greenhouse values, including base salary, bonus, equity, location, and start date.
- Review the pre-filled values, choose your benefits and equity templates, and adjust any remaining details.
- Send the offer. The candidate receives a link to an interactive offer they can explore.

Frequently asked questions
Does Complete replace our Greenhouse offer letter?
No. Complete is used for the interactive offer that a recruiter walks a candidate through. Your formal offer letter and signature workflow stay in Greenhouse or your e-signature tool.
Does Complete change anything in Greenhouse?
The only field Complete writes to is the custom candidate field that holds the offer link, and only if your organization enables that option. Complete does not modify Greenhouse offers, candidate stages, or approvals.
A candidate does not appear in Complete. Why?
Complete can only see what the authorizing Greenhouse credential can see. If a requisition has restricted permissions, candidates on that requisition may not be visible. Check the permissions on the job in Greenhouse, then reconnect if they change.
A candidate has several applications. Which one does Complete use?
Complete resolves offers per application rather than per candidate. When you search, select the application tied to the offer you want.
Do we need to reauthorize periodically?
No routine reauthorization is required. You will need to reconnect if someone revokes Complete's access in Greenhouse or if the authorizing user's permissions are reduced.
How is our data protected?
Access tokens are stored encrypted and scoped to the organization that authorized the connection. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Complete is SOC 2 audited, and its security documentation is available on request or by requesting access directly at security.complete.so.
