Codility is a technical hiring platform that helps teams evaluate candidates through skills-based assessments and collaborative technical interviews.
Greenhouse Advanced Interview integration with Codility allows you to seamlessly create interview links directly within Greenhouse and receive detailed insights, including scores, task summaries that provide a score for each task and the languages used, interviewer notes, and skills evaluations.
When integrated, you can:
- Create multiple Codility interview links directly from Greenhouse at any stage of your hiring process.
- Select from interview templates created in Codility and tailored to the roles you hire for.
- Provide interviewers and candidates with a single, seamless link to join the session.
- Have interview reports, including task summaries, interviewer notes, skills evaluations and scores, automatically attached to the Greenhouse candidate profile.
- Review collaborative feedback from multiple interviewers in one place to support faster, evidence-based hiring decisions.
Setting up the Advanced Interview integration
To enable this integration, you will need to be an Admin user in Codility and a Site Admin in Greenhouse. Only one user needs to enable the Advanced Interview integration and it will be available to the rest of the users on the account.
Configure the Greenhouse webhook in Codility
Log in to Codility.
Navigate to Apps & Integrations > Integrations.
Find Greenhouse - Advanced Interview and click Configure.
Click Connect. Codility will display the information required to configure your Greenhouse webhook:
- Webhook URL
- Webhook secret key
- Webhook header identity
Copy these values and keep them available for the next step.
Save the configuration in Codility.
At this point, the webhook configuration is saved, but a new Advanced Interview integration is not active yet. You still need to connect Codility to Greenhouse.
Create the webhook in Greenhouse
Log in to your Greenhouse account.
Go to Settings > Dev Center > Webhooks.
Create a new webhook.
Configure it as follows:

Name: Codility recommends
Codility Advanced Interview. -
When: select
Candidate or prospect updated. - Endpoint URL: paste the Webhook URL from Codility.
- Secret key: paste the Webhook secret key from Codility.
- Open Advanced settings. Under Additional HTTP Headers, provide the Codility Webhook header identity from the previous step.
Click Create Webhook.
Connect Codility to Greenhouse
- Return to the Greenhouse - Advanced Interview integration in Codility and click Connect to Greenhouse.
- You will be redirected to Greenhouse as part of the OAuth 2.0 Authorization Code flow.
- Enter your Greenhouse email address.
- Click Log in to Greenhouse.
- After you are redirected to the authorization page, review the requested permissions and click Authorize.
After authorization succeeds, Codility verifies that the Greenhouse user has the required access, creates the required custom fields in Greenhouse, and activates the Advanced Interview integration. You will then be redirected back to Codility.
Verify the integration
Once the connection succeeds, three Codility custom fields will be available at the candidate level in Greenhouse:
- Codility Interview Templates
- Create Codility Interview
- Codility Interview Links
These fields allow users to select a Codility interview template, create an interview, and access the generated Codility interview links.
Congratulations! You have successfully integrated Codility Advanced Interview with your Greenhouse account. If you have any problems completing these steps, please contact support@codility.com.
Reauthorize the Greenhouse connection
If Codility can no longer access Greenhouse because the authorization was revoked or is no longer valid, open Greenhouse - Advanced Interview in Codility and complete the authorization flow again. You can also use the Reconnect option at any time to reauthorize the connection with Greenhouse.
You do not need to recreate the Greenhouse webhook or Codility custom fields.
Use the Codility Advanced Interview integration
Follow these steps to create and manage Codility interviews directly within Greenhouse:
Open a candidate profile
Navigate to the candidate you want to schedule an interview for.
Locate the Codility custom fields
Scroll to the Additional details section.
You will see three Codility fields: Codility Interview Templates, Create Codility Interview, and Codility Interview Links.
Select the interview template
In Codility Interview Templates, choose the predefined template you want to use. If you don't need a template, leave this field blank.
Create the interview link
In Create Codility Interview, select either From template, to create an interview based on the selected template, or Empty, to create an interview without predefined content.
Refresh the page
After saving, refresh the candidate's profile. The interview link will appear under Codility Interview Links.
Share the link
Copy the interview link and share it with the candidate and interviewers as needed.
Review results after the interview
Once the interview ends, interviewers have about one hour to finalize their notes. After this period, Codility automatically sends the interview report back to Greenhouse. The report, which includes the link to the downloadable PDF report, is attached to the candidate's latest application in Greenhouse for easy access.
