Sinecure is a recruiting technology platform that helps talent teams source, screen, and progress candidates through their hiring pipeline. Sinecure connects to a company's Greenhouse Recruiting account to pull candidates and their résumés/CVs from a job, automatically screen each candidate's CV against that job's requirements, and move qualifying candidates forward to the next stage in the pipeline.
Sinecure's integration with Greenhouse Recruiting allows users to automatically pull candidates and their résumés/CVs from a connected Greenhouse job, screen each candidate's CV against that job's criteria, and move qualifying candidates to the next stage in the Greenhouse pipeline — without any manual review step in Greenhouse.
Configure the Sinecure integration
A Sinecure team member generates a secure, one-time ("magic link") for the customer's Greenhouse account and sends it to the customer's Greenhouse Site Admin.
The Site Admin opens the link and selects Greenhouse.
The Site Admin logs in to Greenhouse and reviews the requested permissions — read access to jobs, candidates, applications, and résumés/CVs, and write access to update a candidate's stage — then approves the connection on Greenhouse's own OAuth 2.0 consent screen.
Sinecure writes candidate data back to Greenhouse in two ways. First, when a candidate meets the screening criteria configured for a job, Sinecure automatically advances that candidate to the next stage in the job's Greenhouse pipeline (for example, "Recruiter Screen").
Second, if a recruiter manually changes a candidate's stage from within Sinecure, that change is also synchronized back to Greenhouse. Sinecure does not edit any other candidate, application, or job fields in Greenhouse, except when a recruiter imports an individual candidate and adds them to a shortlist (see "Use the Sinecure integration" below), in which case that candidate's profile and application are created in Greenhouse.
Sinecure reads the following data from Greenhouse
- Job (referred to inside Sinecure as a "project")
- Candidate name, email address, and phone number
- Candidate résumé/CV attachment
- Application and current pipeline stage
Sinecure writes the following data to Greenhouse
- Candidate's pipeline stage — advanced automatically when a candidate meets the screening criteria configured for that job, or updated manually when a recruiter changes a candidate's stage inside Sinecure
- New candidate profile and application — created in Greenhouse when a recruiter imports an individual candidate into Sinecure and adds them to the shortlist
Use the Sinecure integration
Once connected, Sinecure runs automatically in the background — no manual action is required in Greenhouse Recruiting after setup.
For each Greenhouse job a recruiting team has enabled in Sinecure (referred to inside Sinecure as a "project"), Sinecure:
Pulls in new and existing candidates for that job, along with their résumés/CVs.
Enriches each candidate's profile with additional information gathered from their résumé and other available data.
Screens each candidate's CV against the job's configured criteria.
Automatically moves any candidate who meets the criteria to the next stage in that job's Greenhouse pipeline — for example, to "Recruiter Screen." The updated stage appears immediately in Greenhouse Recruiting.
Recruiters continue to work from Greenhouse Recruiting as usual — Sinecure only accelerates the initial CV review step.
In addition to the automated project workflow above, recruiters can also work with candidates directly inside Sinecure:
Change a candidate's stage from within Sinecure — any stage change made here is synchronized back to Greenhouse.
Import an individual candidate and add them to the shortlist — that candidate, along with their information, is then created in Greenhouse as well.
