Veton AI's integration with Greenhouse Recruiting allows users to sync live job posts and incoming applications into Veton automatically, run AI screening interviews on new applicants, and receive resume analysis, interview analysis, transcripts, and cheat detection results back on the candidate's record in Greenhouse.
Configure the Veton AI integration
Before you begin
- A Greenhouse Site Admin (or a user who can manage all of your organization's API credentials) is required to authorize the connection.
- An active Veton AI account.
Log in to Veton, open your board, and click Connect to your ATS.
Select Greenhouse. Veton redirects you to Greenhouse to authorize the connection.
Review the permissions Veton is requesting, then sign in to Greenhouse to approve them.
Choose how the connection is owned. We recommend authorizing with an Integration Service User rather than your own account.
Greenhouse returns you to Veton and the connection is complete. Your job posts and applicants begin syncing immediately.
You can review or revoke the connection at any time in Greenhouse under Configure > Dev Center > Connected Integrations.
Permissions requested
During authorization, Veton AI requests the following access:
- Job posts (read) — to import your live job posts as positions
- Job post locations (read) — to record where each position is based
- Applications (read) — to detect new applicants
- Candidates (read) — for candidate name and contact details
- Attachments (read) — to retrieve candidate resumes for analysis
- Notes (read, create) — to write interview and resume analysis back onto the candidate, and to check which notes Veton has already written
Using an Integration Service User
We recommend authorizing Veton AI with an Integration Service User (ISU) rather than an individual account. The connection is then owned by your organization rather than one person, so it keeps working if that person changes roles or leaves. Notes written by Veton are attributed to the ISU, which makes it clear on the candidate record that the analysis came from Veton rather than from a recruiter.

What Veton changes in your Greenhouse account
Veton AI does not modify or delete any existing Greenhouse data. It does not change candidate or application fields, does not move candidates between stages, does not alter job posts, and does not upload attachments.
The only thing Veton writes to Greenhouse is a note on the candidate. Veton creates a note for each of the following, and all except cheat detection can be turned off individually in your Veton settings:
- Resume analysis and verdict
- Interview analysis
- Interview summary
- Interview transcript
- Answers to your custom questions
- Cheat detection findings

Use the Veton AI integration
Once the integration is connected, your live job posts appear in Veton as positions and new applicants begin flowing in automatically. There is nothing to trigger manually — Veton checks Greenhouse for new applications continuously.
For each position you choose how candidates are screened: phone or video interview, whether invitations are sent by email or SMS, and any evaluation criteria specific to that role.
What you need to do
After the one-time connection above, no recurring action is required in Greenhouse. Recruiters work entirely in Greenhouse if they prefer: candidates are invited, interviewed, and analyzed automatically, and the results appear on the candidate's record. The only ongoing configuration is in Veton, where you set the interview format and evaluation criteria per position.
Common scenarios
A new candidate applies in Greenhouse
When a candidate applies to a live job post, Veton imports the application and their resume, analyzes the resume against the role, and invites the candidate to an AI screening interview by email or SMS. The candidate can take the interview at any time — no scheduling is required.
Reviewing results in Greenhouse
As soon as a candidate completes their interview, Veton writes the resume analysis, interview analysis, summary, transcript, and any cheat detection findings to the candidate's record in Greenhouse as notes. The assigned hiring team is notified that the analysis is ready. Recruiters can review everything on the candidate in Greenhouse, or open the full report with the interview recording in Veton.

Which candidates does Veton interview?
Only candidates with active applications on live job posts. Veton does not contact candidates on closed or unpublished posts.
Can I stop Veton writing certain notes?
Yes. Resume analysis, interview analysis, summary, transcript, and custom question answers can each be turned off in your Veton settings.
What happens if I disconnect the integration?
Syncing and note write-back stop immediately. Your Greenhouse data is unchanged, and any notes Veton already wrote remain on the candidate records.
