Starred's integration with Greenhouse Recruiting allows users to create workflows that automate the sendout of candidate and internal (hiring manager, recruiter) surveys, triggered by actions in Greenhouse such as application received, candidate rejected, offer created, or candidate hired.

Configure the Starred integration

Log into your Starred account. Note you must have an "Admin" role in Starred, and at least "Site Admin" in Greenhouse.

Once logged in, navigate to: https://app.starred.com/integrations/connect/50002

Click "Connect Greenhouse" and follow the steps.

Starred webhook configuration details

Use the "Endpoint URL" and "Secret Key" provided in Starred to create 4 webhooks in Greenhouse. The values below correspond to the "When" dropdown:

  • Candidate has submitted application
  • Offer created
  • Candidate has been hired
  • Candidate or Prospect rejected

Once done, select "Validate webhooks" to complete the process.

Use the Starred integration

Once connected, a user takes standard actions in Greenhouse, such as rejecting a candidate or marking them as hired, and this automatically triggers the corresponding Starred workflow via the integration (e.g. sending a candidate satisfaction survey after rejection, or a hiring manager survey after hire).
