Asurint integration

Greenhouse Recruiting's integration with Asurint allows for a seamless integration with an A+ user experience. It also has efficient workflows with complete visibility of the hiring lifecycle. This guide covers how to:

  • Enable the Greenhouse/Asurint integration
  • Initiate a background check through the integration

Configure the Asurint Greenhouse integration

Enable Greenhouse / Asurint integration

Navigate to https://cif.asurint.net/ats-connect/greenhouse-connect

Click Sign In with Asurint to authenticate your Asurint account.

Once you have verified your Asurint account, you will be prompted to log in to Greenhouse. Click Connect with Greenhouse to proceed.

Enter your Email and select Log in to Greenhouse to allow Asurint to establish the connection.

Once logged in, check the box labeled Authorize using a service account and then click Authorize to link.

That's it! Your Greenhouse account and Asurint account can now talk to each other.

The authorization portal will make the following updates to the Greenhouse Environment: Create Connected Integration

Asurint will programmatically make the following updates to your Greenhouse account.

Create webhook

  • Name: Asurint Integration
  • When: Candidate has been hired
  • Endpoint URL

Custom fields

  • Candidates
    • Field name: Reference 1 
      • Field type: Short text box
    • Field name: Reference 2
      • Field type: Short text box
    • Field name: Reference 3
      • Field type: Short text box
    • Field name: Reference 4
      • Field type: Short text box
  • Offers
    • Field name: Asurint Background Package
      • Field type: Single Select
        • Options: Asurint Package IDs: Package Names (Based on client)
      • Field name: Recruiter
        • Field type: User

Asurint can use the following fields to determine the user placing the order. Coordinate with Asurint to make sure that the listing of the user is correct based on your use case.

  • Application: Credited To
  • Application: Recruiter
  • Offer: Custom Field: Recruiter
    • It is recommended to make this a required field if you are using the custom field option by navigating to Configure > Custom options > Offer fields > Recruiter

Use the Asurint integration

To initiate the background screening, follow the steps below:

From the candidate page click Offer details

Select Create offer

Select values for the following fields:

  • Start Date
  • Employment Type
  • Asurint Background Package

From the offer select Send with Greenhouse to offer the candidate the position.

From the header select Mark as hired.

Reconfirm that Start Date, Employment Type, and Asurint Background Package are set appropriately for this candidate and complete any remaining required fields.

Click Save

An email link will be generated and sent directly to the candidate to complete the forms required to submit the background check.
