Custom fonts help you create a cohesive feel that matches your organization’s branding across your job boards.

Overview

Custom fonts let you go beyond the 1,500+ Google Fonts available in Greenhouse and upload your own licensed or proprietary typefaces. This allows your job board to more closely align with your company’s brand guidelines and visual identity.

Once uploaded, custom fonts appear at the top of the font picker list in Design Studio and can be applied to any job board or related page where fonts are customizable. After you add a custom font, it will be available to your whole organization.

Upload a custom font

In the Design Studio

Use the Design Studio to update multiple job boards or see a live preview of your job board as you style it. To get started, go to Configure, Job boards & posts, Open Design Studio.

Select a job board to preview as you style, then scroll to Fonts and select Add custom fonts.

Once uploaded, the font will appear at the top of the font picker list.

Set your font as a primary font (used for job board titles and headings) or secondary font (used for body text like job names and locations).

In the classic job board editor

If you'd like to change the font on a single job board and don't want to preview your design, you can use the classic editor. Go to Configure, Job boards & posts.

Then, select the job you'd like to customize. Select Style & Customization, go to the Fonts section. Click Add custom fonts and select your file.

Set your font as a primary font (used for job board titles and headings) or secondary font (used for body text like job names and locations).

Note: Your organization can add a maximum of 8 custom fonts. Ensure your fonts are .otf, .ttf, or .woff files.

Where custom fonts are applied

Custom fonts apply to:

  • Your job board (external and internal)
  • Candidate self-schedule pages
  • Availability pages
  • Additional Greenhouse pages, such as confirmation screens after a candidate applies

Manage your custom fonts

At this time, you can:

  • Upload up to eight custom fonts
  • Apply them to one or multiple boards using bulk changes in Design Studio
  • Set different custom fonts as primary and secondary
  • Instantly preview your custom fonts within Design Studio before publishing changes

Best practices

  • Check licensing: Make sure you have the legal right to use the font on public-facing job boards.
  • Test readability: Review the font in different sizes and contexts to ensure it remains legible, especially on small screens.
  • Maintain contrast: Pair fonts with background and text colors that meet accessibility guidelines.
