Greenhouse Onboarding allows your organization to perform various actions on multiple plan tasks using our bulk action feature. By using this feature, your organization can streamline the configuration of your tasks, with any changes made applied automatically to tasks assigned to all new hires moving forward.
To manage plan tasks in bulk, click Settings on your navigation bar and then click Tasks
Use the provided filter to narrow your organization's list of tasks if necessary. When finished, click Bulk Select.
Select the tasks in the populated list that will be included in the bulk action by placing a check to the left of each task. Click Bulk Actions.
Reassign plan tasks in bulk
This bulk action allows you to change the user who will be responsible for the selected tasks on future onboarding plans.
From the Bulk Actions box, click Reassign Task.
From the subsequent box, use the provided dropdown to select the user who will be assigned these tasks moving forward. When finished, click Reassign.
The selected tasks will be assigned to the new designated user on all future onboarding plans. This change will not impact tasks already assigned to existing onboarding plans.
Change plan tasks category in bulk
This bulk action allows you to change the assigned category (Build Relationships, Job Training, Know the Company, or Logistics) for the selected tasks.
From the Bulk Actions box, click Change Task category.
From the subsequent box, use the provided dropdown to select the category these tasks should be associated with moving forward. When finished, click Update.
Update plan tasks rules in bulk
This bulk action allows you to edit or change the criteria for the new hire (Department, Location, Employment Status, or Other Criteria) that will trigger the selected tasks to be assigned.
From the Bulk Actions box, click Update Rules.
To add new rules, from the subsequent box, use the provided dropdown menus to select Department, Location, Employment Status, or Other Criteria to define what criteria the new hire will assign the selected tasks. When finished, click Update Rules.
To remove existing rules, in the Edit Rules box, click the X icon to the left of any criteria you wish to remove. When finished, click Update Rules (or Clear rules if you have removed all criteria).
Update plan tasks due date in bulk
This bulk action allows you to edit when the selected tasks are due based on the new hire's start date, as well as edit when the selected tasks should be assigned based on their due date.
From the Bulk Actions box, click Update Task due date.
From the subsequent box, use the provided fields to define when the selected tasks should be due (No due date, On Start date, Custom) and / or how many days before the due date the selected tasks should be assigned. When finished, click Update.
Note: The Assign # days before due date field can be filled in only after a due date option is selected.
Delete plan tasks in bulk
This bulk action allows you to permanently delete the selected plan tasks from your organization's Greenhouse Onboarding account.
Note: Deleting a plan task is a permanent action that cannot be undone.
From the Bulk Actions box, click Delete.
From the subsequent box, confirm you wish to delete the selected tasks by clicking Delete.
The selected tasks will be deleted from your plan tasks list and will no longer be assigned to new hire onboarding plans moving forward. If any of the plan tasks you deleted were assigned to employees previously, those tasks will remain assigned to the employees.
