Wade & Wendy’s AI platform automates the top of your recruiting funnel by sourcing, screening, and coordinating the process. Wade & Wendy brings better data — and a great candidate experience for all — by engaging candidates in automated conversation and delivering insights to your hiring team.
Wendy evaluates a candidate’s fit based on their objective experience and how their knowledge, skills, and abilities map on to the role for which they are being considered. Wendy evaluates everything from prior work related to the role’s function, related skills and certifications, experience with necessary or similar tools, and how the candidate approaches challenges they might encounter in the role’s day-to-day.
Greenhouse Recruiting's integration with Wade & Wendy allows you to seamlessly add Wade & Wendy’s assessment to a job's interview plan. In this article, we will cover how to:
Enable the Greenhouse Recruiting / Wade & Wendy Integration
To start, contact your Wade & Wendy representative (firstname.lastname@example.org) to receive your API key. Once you have received your API key, fill out the form at www.greenhouse.io/asksupport or click here to open a ticket.
Note: Do not send the API key in this initial email.
The Greenhouse Support Team will respond with a SendSafely link for you to enter your API key. A notification will be sent to the Greenhouse Support Team after you have entered your API key and they will email you to confirm that your API key has been set up in your account and your integration is enabled.
Note: To verify your identity, the Greenhouse Support Team might request you provide a Support Verification Code before adding the API key to your organization's account.
Add Wade & Wendy Stage to Job’s Interview Plan
Once the Greenhouse Recruiting / Wade & Wendy integration is enabled for your organization, you will be able to add the Wade & Wendy assessment as an Interview stage.
To do this for an existing job, navigate to a job (All Jobs > Job Name) and click Job Setup from the Job navigation bar.
From the Job Setup page, navigate to Interview Plan on the left-hand panel. Scroll down the Interview Plan page and click + Add a Stage.
From the Add Stage dialog box, select the Wade & Wendy stage. When finished, click Add to apply the stage to the job's interview plan.
Configure Wade & Wendy Stage
Once the stage has been added to the job's interview plan, click Edit Take Home Test. Select Chat with Wendy from the provided drop-down menu.
Select the appropriate assessment and assign at least one Greenhouse Recruiting user to grade/review submitted assessments. When finished, click Save.
The details of the assessment itself (the “Wendy Chat”) — including the topics for evaluation — are managed outside of Greenhouse Recruiting within the Wade & Wendy platform and workflow. Your dedicated Wade & Wendy account team will work with your recruiting team to ensure Wendy is assessing the most relevant information possible.
Send and Review the Test
When candidates are moved into the Wade & Wendy interview stage, Greenhouse will display a Send Test link.
Note: When you send a test from Greenhouse, the interview instructions are actually sent by Wade & Wendy.
The status of the assessment will be viewable in Greenhouse Recruiting:
Once the candidate has submitted their test, the Interview Kit will contain a link to view the submitted test on Wade & Wendy. The interview kit also lists Wendy’s assessment under Notes as to whether the candidate is qualified or unqualified. The score for qualified candidates will always be 70, and for unqualified candidates the score will always be 30.
After you click on the Interview Kit on the candidate’s profile, you’ll be taken to a page where the URL is available to view the test results on Wade & Wendy.
Clicking the View Report link will take you to the Wade & Wendy Recruiter Workspace, where Wendy’s assessment of the candidate and chat transcript can be viewed.
The Wade & Wendy Recruiter Workspace provides one place to view all of your open roles and candidates that Wendy believes are qualified. The analytics tab for each role shows data on the work Wendy is performing in support of your roles.
- The left panel displays all of your roles
- The middle panel displays the list of candidates that are New, Rejected, or Advanced
- The right panel displays details on the selected candidate
The Candidate Details panel displays information that Wendy gathers during the chat including answers to important questions. Click Chat Transcript to view the full chat.
Approving or Rejecting a candidate in the Recruiter Workspace helps Wendy learn what makes a good candidate and use that feedback to improve future recommendations. Click the X icon to reject or the check icon to approve.
In the feedback dialog box, enter the reason you are advancing or rejecting the candidate to enable the Advance or Reject button. Clicking Advance or Reject at this point will submit the form to Wade and Wendy and trigger an introduction email between recruiter and candidate. You can optionally enter additional details in the text box to help the Wade and Wendy team better understand your needs.
