Configure User Setup Permissions in Greenhouse Recruiting
In order to enable the Greenhouse/CareerBlitz integration, you will need the developer permission Can manage ALL organization’s API Credentials.
Contact a Greenhouse user in your organization with Site Admin level permissions with the additional user-specific permission Can edit another user's advanced permissions to apply the API credential management permission to your account. Have the user with Site Admin level permissions edit your user account's permissions by navigating to the Configure icon > Users > Your Name.
The user with Site Admin level permissions should navigate to the Permissions panel on your user page and expand the Developer Permissions dropdown menu.
Select Can manage ALL organization’s API Credentials so that a check is in the checkbox. When finished, click Save.
Create a Harvest API Key for the Greenhouse/CareerBlitz Integration
To create a Harvest API key for the integration, click the Configure icon in the upper right-hand corner. Navigate to Dev Center on the left-hand panel.
From the Dev Center page, click API Credential Management.
From the API Credential Management page, click Create New API Key to generate the API key for CareerBlitz.
From the Create new credential dialog box, give your API key a name and select Harvest from the Type dropdown menu. When finished, click Create.
On the Manage API Key Permissions page, give the Harvest API key the following permissions:
- Activity Feed
- Close Reasons
- Custom Fields
- Email Templates
- Job Posts
- Job Stages
- Rejection Reasons
- Scheduled Interviews
When finished, click Update.
Your Harvest API key for the Greenhouse/CareerBlitz integration is created and configured. Navigate to your newly created and click Copy.
Provide your Harvest API key to your CareerBlitz onboarding team so they can set up the integration.
How to use the CareerBlitz Integration with Greenhouse
Once the integration is enabled for your account, CareerBlitz will begin processing through candidates, refreshing applicant data, and analyzing which candidates may be a fit for open roles.
Twice a week, CareerBlitz will send candidates to your inbox. These candidates are emailed to you via a secure CareerBlitz link. You can use this link to visit you CareerBlitz account, and view the selected candidates along with the custom messages written out for each of them, and followups. You will only receive candidates for open roles where you have been designated as the role owner in Greenhouse. If this needs to be changed, it can be done so via the CareerBlitz Settings page.
Once you have received a set of candidates via email, review the suggestions, and send out messages as needed. You can remove candidates that may not be a fit, and edit individual email sequences to include additional information into outreach efforts. As candidates are refreshed with public and social data, they will be tagged as “CareerBlitz Refreshed” on-behalf-off the given user. As you reach out to candidates through the platform, all outreach messages will be logged into the Greenhouse Activity Feed and assigned to you.
