In this article:
Enable the Greenhouse Recruiting / Test Partnership integration
To start, contact your Test Partnership representative (info@testpartnership.com) to receive your API key. When contacting Test Partnership, please ask them to extend your API token expiry. Once you have received your API key from Test Partnership, fill out the form at www.greenhouse.io/asksupport or click here to open a ticket.
Note: Do not send the API key in this initial email.
The Greenhouse Technical Support team will respond with a SendSafely link for you to enter your API key. A notification will be sent to the Greenhouse Technical Support team after you have entered your API key and they will email you to confirm that your API key has been set up in your account and your integration is enabled.
Note: To verify your identity, the Greenhouse Technical Support team might request you provide a Support Verification Code before adding the API key to your organization's account.
Add Test Partnership stage to job’s interview plan
Once the Greenhouse Recruiting / Test Partnership integration is enabled for your organization, you are able to add the Test Partnership assessment as an Interview stage.
To do this for an existing job, navigate to a job (Jobs > Job Name) and click Job Setup from the left-side navigation bar.
From the Job Setup page, navigate to Interview Plan on the left-hand panel.
Click Add Stage.
From the Add Stage dialog box, select the Test Partnership stage.
When finished, click Add to apply the stage to the job's interview plan.
The Test Partnership stage is now added to the interview plan for the job.
Configure Test Partnership stage
To configure the tests, you need to log into your Test Partnership client portal and create (or edit an existing) Project.
For guidance on creating Projects, please contact Test Partnership support (info@testpartnership). Important steps of setting up a Project include:
- Picking an assessment
- Picking a norm group
- Picking email to options
- Editing the email template
Once your Project is set up in the Test Partnership client portal, you can select it in Greenhouse Recruiting.
Note: Keep in the mind all configurations of the assessment itself, such as norm group, test type, and email template, will need to be done in your Test Partnership client portal. Make sure you have configured the stage in your Test Partnership client portal before you send the test to the candidate.
Send and review the test
- When a candidate progresses to the Test Partnership stage, a Send Test appears on their candidate profile for you to send the Test Partnership assessment.
- After you click Send Test, use the provided dropdown menu to choose the Project that you previously set up in your Test Partnership client portal.
- Next, enter the email address to which you want to send the test invite email (typically this is the candidate’s personal email address but sometimes clients prefer to send the email to an internal admin address and forward it on to the candidate. It is up to you).
- Click Send Test to send the test to the candidate.
Note: When you send a test from Greenhouse Recruiting, the test instructions are actually emailed by Test Partnership. After the candidate has completed their test, their results will be available immediately in your Test Partnership client portal but may take up to one hour to appear in Greenhouse Recruiting.
To view the candidate’s Test Partnership stage score, navigate to their profile and click on the Test Partnership stage.
On this page, you can also click View Report. This downloads a PDF test result report.

Please contact info@testpartnership.com for troubleshooting assistance regarding the integration.
Tip: We recommend testing this integration process with a sample candidate, using your email address as the sample candidate’s email. This allows you to see the candidate journey end-to-end and understand the process. Contact Test Partnership if you wish to walk through this process on the phone.
