HiringSolved uses artificial intelligence to automate candidate matching, increase diversity, reduce time to fill jobs, analyze the social web, and unlock the power of your ATS. The integration between Greenhouse Recruiting and HiringSolved allows your organization to seamlessly use HiringSolved to optimize your Greenhouse account. In this article, we will cover: 

 

Establish line of communication with HiringSolved

The first thing HiringSolved needs is to establish a direct line of communication with your organization.  Please email integrations@hiringsolved.com to let HiringSolved know you are coming. Whereas the Greenhouse Recruiting integration is fairly automatic, it is important to HiringSolved that you be kept up to date on their progress, and that you have a human to talk to if you have any questions.

 

Required user permissions in Greenhouse Recruiting

To enable the HiringSolved integration, you need the following user-specific developer permission in Greenhouse Recruiting: 

  • Can manage ALL organization’s API Credentials

If you don't have this permission already, contact a Greenhouse Recruiting user in your organization with Site Admin level permissions with the additional user-specific permission Can edit another user's advanced permissions to apply the API credential management permission to your account.

 

Create Harvest API key for HiringSolved

To create a Harvest API key for the integration, click the Configure icon  in the upper-right corner. Navigate to Dev Center on the left panel. From the Dev Center page, click API Credential Management.

From the API Credential Management page, click Create New API Key to generate the API key for Hiring Solved.

In the Create New Credential dialog box, make the following selections:

  • API Type: Harvest
  • Partner: Hiring Solved
  • Description: Hiring Solved Harvest API Key

When finished, click Manage Permissions to generate the Harvest API key and automatically assign it the appropriate permissions required by Hiring Solved.

In the subsequent dialog box, click Copy to save your API key to your clipboard. Store the API key in a secure location to provide to Handshake in the next step. Click I have stored the API Key once you have copied and saved the key.

Note: You cannot access the full Harvest API key again after clicking I have stored the API Key. If you lose your API key and need to access it later, you must create a new API key, provide it to the integration partner, and then revoke access to the original key.

On the subsequent page, confirm the following permissions are assigned to your new API key:

  • Candidates 
  • EEOC (optional)
  • Activity Feed (optional)

If any of the permissions above are not checked, place a check in the box next to the appropriate permission. Click Save when finished. 

Send HiringSolved the API key securely. Do not send the API key via regular email. You can use PGP, HiringSolved's own lockbox system, or another approved secure delivery method. This can be a tricky process if you’ve never done it before, but HiringSolved can make it easy for you. Contact HiringSolved if you have questions about this process.

 

Enable integration

Sit back and let HiringSolved work their integration magic. How long the integration takes depends on several factors including how much data you have. But it’s usually pretty quick.  HiringSolved will talk about official timelines in your introductory call.

 

Train your team

When HiringSolved has enough data processed from your Greenhouse Recruiting database, they can set up a live training session with your team. HiringSolved loves talking to users and showing them how HiringSolved can make candidate discovery so easy. Web or onsite training is available for no extra charge.
