Greenhouse Recruiting's integration with abcÎ allows you to seamlessly add abcÎ assessment and screening to a job's interview plan.
Enable the abcÎ integration
Organizations who wish to enable this integration must have a contract with abcÎ. If your organization does not yet have such a contract, please contact: team@abci.de.
To start the integration, please contact your abcÎ representative directly or per email: team@abci.de to receive your API key. Once you have received your API key, click here to open a ticket with Greenhouse.
Note: Do not send the API key in this initial email. API Keys allow access to sensitive data and must be kept secret. If an API Key is shared in an email and your email is intercepted by a malicious third party or your email account is hacked, the hacker would be able to view and access your API Key. For this reason, we require API Keys to be shared securely using SendSafely, Greenhouse’s secure data transfer platform.
The Greenhouse Support Team will respond with a SendSafely link for you to enter your API key. A notification will be sent to the Greenhouse Support Team after you have entered your API key and they will email you to confirm that your API key has been set up in your account and your integration is enabled.
Add the abcî interview stage to an interview plan
Once the abcî integration is enabled for your organization, you will be able to add the abcÎ assessment as an interview stage.
You can send an assessment to a candidate by selecting the Send Test button next to the interview stage.
Configure abcÎ Stage
Once the stage has been added to the job's interview plan, click Edit. Use the provided drop-down menu to define your automatic pre-selection of the abcÎ configuration you use regularly.
Select the appropriate assessment configuration and assign at least one Greenhouse user to grade/review the submitted assessments. You will usually select the “abcÎ-default” configuration. For German “Auszubildende” in blue collar, junior programs, select “Azubi”, for short screenings or short retests onsite, choose “Cognitive”. If you are not sure about the appropriate set up, please check with your supervisor or directly with the abcÎ team. When finished, click Save.
Note: Keep in the mind that all configurations and the set up of the assessment itself, as well as changes in the email template, will need to be done by the abcÎ team. Also, it is possible for you to have custom email templates as well as custom email accounts or email server setup for your company, providing candidates with a solution that incorporates your company logos, company email addresses and custom email text or layouts. The abcÎ team will be happy to help you choose the right solutions.
Use the abcî integration with Greenhouse Recruiting
Send and review the test
When candidates are moved into the abcÎ interview stage, Greenhouse will display a Send Test link.
Note: When you send an assessment from Greenhouse, the email instructions are actually sent by abcÎ assessment platform.
Select the appropriate assessment configuration. You will usually select the “abcÎ-default” configuration. For German “Auszubildende” in blue collar, junior programs, select “Azubi”, for short screenings or short retests onsite, choose “Cognitive”. If you are not sure about the appropriate set up, please check with your supervisor or directly with the abcÎ team. When finished, click send test.
You can check the status of the assessment directly in Greenhouse. You can find further information for the stage under the stage widget.
View results in abcî
After it has been sent, an assessment’s status will display in Greenhouse Recruiting.
Once the candidate has submitted their test, the Interview Kit will contain a link to view the submitted test in the abcÎ application.
After you click on “view report” in the candidate’s profile, you’ll be taken to a page where you can generate, view, print and download two different reports.
On abcÎ you can create a short report with the results of your candidate, which is identical to the one that the candidates can download themselves after completing the test (1). A report with more detailed results is also available, which may be used to prepare for interviews (2).

You can choose either English or German as language for your candidate’s report.
You can also download the report as a PDF document. It is available in English and German.

In addition to a management summary with the greatest strengths and areas for development, the interview report contains interview questions on the areas in the abcÎ that deviate from the targeted profile and could therefore be explored in greater depth in the interview.
A requirement profile is selected from the menu, with which the candidate’s results can then be compared. Interview questions are generated based on this fit. Generic requirement profiles for many positions are available. Company or position-specific requirement profiles can be added at any time. Please contact your abcÎ consultant for more information.
Frequently asked questions
Which assessment variants are available?
According to your contract with abcÎ you can chose different assessment configurations. Please contact your abcÎ representative if you want to add or remove an available configuration.
Are more than English and German locales available?
The reports are currently available in English and German.
The assessment itself is available in different languages. Candidates can choose one of the following languages to complete the assessment:
English, German, Italian, Spanish, French, Russian, Polish, Greek, Hungarian, Czech, Romanian, Turkish, Dutch and Mandarin.
It is strongly recommended that candidates choose their native language if available.
Further language versions are in preparation. If you need a special language version, please contact team@abci.de.
Are email templates customizable?
Yes on abcÎ, you can use the standard template in English or German or both languages combined, with your company logo added. Also, fully customized templates are possible.
Can abcÎ use another mail account or server to send the assessment invitations?
If your company provides them with an email account for invitations, all assessment invitations will be sent from your mail provider or mail server.
Are other report layouts available?
Other report layouts will be added in future.
