Sourcing strategies are used to broadly categorize the specific source that's associated with your candidate. For example, you may want to compare the effectiveness of individual third-party job boards by recording the specific source, but later you want to report on the percentage of candidates that came from a job board vs. internal referrals. Sourcing strategies can be used to define these larger categories.
Greenhouse Recruiting is built with several default sourcing strategies, but you can add custom sourcing strategies to your organization.
To create a new sourcing strategy, navigate to the Custom Options page (Configure > Custom Options) and choose Sourcing Strategies under Company Metadata.
Click Create New Sourcing Strategy in the top right corner of the page.
Enter the name of the strategy and click Create Sourcing Strategy. The new option will appear in the table at the top of the page.
