If a new hire's start date changes after they've been added to Greenhouse Onboarding, you can manually update their start date in their employee profile.
Note: When a new hire's start date is updated in Greenhouse Recruiting, the changes will be sent automatically to Greenhouse Onboarding for approval.
Change a new hire's start date
Note: Managers need access to edit the Start Date field in order to change the start date for their direct reports. Learn more about configuring Manager access.
From your Greenhouse Onboarding homepage, use the Search bar to search for the new hire whose start date you want to update.
Click the dropdown to open the new hire's employee profile.
In the employee's profile, click Edit next to the listed start date.
Use the calendar in the Change Start Date window to select a new start date.
Below the calendar, mark the checkbox to Update tasks with relative due dates based on the new start date. This will update any task assigned to the new hire or their onboarding team with a due date based on the new hire's start date.
Click Save and Close to save your changes.
Note: Tasks with due dates that aren't relative to the start date won't be updated when you change an employee's start date.
