How does the integration work?
The Greenhouse Onboarding/ADP Workforce Now integration allows you to collect essential information from new hires in Greenhouse Onboarding and then create a new in-progress profile in ADP.
You can choose which employees are pushed over to ADP.
What information is required for the integration?
The following new hire information is required on their Greenhouse Onboarding profile in order to successfully create an ADP account:
- Legal Name
- Work Email
- Social Security Number (SSN) / Government ID
- Gender
- Birthday
- Start Date
If you are using a custom template, we will send all supported fields over to ADP.
What additional information can I sync from Greenhouse Onboarding to ADP?

Can I set up additional fields to sync between the systems?
Fields that are not listed above cannot be synced between the systems. This means the integration cannot sync fields such as emergency contact, manager, or other custom fields.
Can the integration manage documents?
No, the integration cannot manage documents.
Is the integration compatible with ADP e-verify or electronic I-9s?
Yes, the integration adds a pending hire, allowing you to launch the e-verify solution in ADP or an electronic I-9.
How can I notify specific people when someone is added to ADP using the integration?
The integration processes new hires using any template you wish to select. If you want to adjust email notifications on that template, please reach out to your ADP representative.
I have a custom template built to onboard employees in Workforce Now. Can the new hires from Greenhouse Onboarding be onboarded using this template?
Yes, new hires are processed by any template you wish to choose.
I have employees based in two or more states. When new hires are synced, does the integration reflect their different locations in the State Worked In field?
Yes. The integration allows you to select the State Worked In for all new hires added to ADP.
Can the integration sync new hires based outside of the US?
Yes, the integration supports new hires outside the US, but only for customers using ADP Workforce Now in the US. If your ADP account is based outside the US, this integration is not compatible.
Does the org structure in Greenhouse need to mirror the org structure in ADP?
No, your org structure in Greenhouse Onboarding doesn't need to mirror the org structure in ADP.
