A prospect is considered unattached if they have been added into the system without being assigned a specific job. To manage unattached prospects, a user needs to have Job Admin level permissions with the additional user-specific permission Can manage unattached prospects. In this article we will cover how to assign the additional user-specific permission to an existing Job Admin, how to assign this permission in bulk to all Job Admins, and how to search for unattached prospects.
Assign 'Can manage unattached prospects' Permission
In addition to having Job Admin level permissions, a user also needs to have the user-specific permission Can manage unattached prospects. Essentially, this permission allows the Job Admin to add prospects to jobs, convert those unattached prospects into candidates, etc...
To assign this user-specific permission, click the Configure icon in the upper right-hand corner.
From the Configure page, click the Users tab on the left-hand panel and select a user with Job Admin level permissions.
Navigate down the user's page to the permissions box and add a check in the box next to Can manage unattached prospects (add prospect to jobs, convert prospect to candidate on jobs, see private tab on the prospect profile.
When you have finished, click Save to confirm.
The user will be able to manage and perform duties outlined in the user-specific permission.
Assign 'Can manage unattached prospects' Permission in Bulk
To assign this permission to a group of users with the same permission level, click on the Configure icon in the upper right-hand corner.
From the Configure page, click the Users tab on the left-hand panel and using the filter panel, filter users by a permission level type. You can also apply any additional filters to narrow down your list.
When you have finished narrowing down your list, click Bulk Actions > Select All > Edited Selected (#).
From the Edit Users dialog box, click Edit User-Specific Permissions.
Select Turn all on in the same row as the permission Can manage unattached prospects.
When finished, click Save Permissions.
These user will be able to manage and perform duties outlined in the user-specific permission.
Filter for Unattached Prospects
Users with the ability to manage unattached prospects can filter for these prospects by clicking the All Candidates tab from their navigation bar.
From the Candidates page, navigate to the left-hand panel and expand the Application Type pane.
In the Application Type pane, select Prospects only from the Type dropdown menu and add a check in the box next to Prospects on No Jobs.
All unattached prospects will populate in the right hand list.
