Your organization might have thousands of candidates, so examining how they are collectively moving from your job pipelines is important. Are candidates getting caught in application review limbo for weeks at a time, or do they breeze through the pipeline before getting stuck at a take home test for far too long?

The pipeline history and pass-through rates report lists the stages from your jobs and offers high-level information about the candidate experience in each stage.

Note: The pipeline history and pass-through rates report will display data for every job where you have the appropriate permissions.

The report will display information for the following:

  • Total applicants per stage or milestone
  • Pass rate
  • Average days in stage or milestone
  • Total interviewer hours scheduled for the job

Pass rate refers to what percentage of candidates were in a particular stage who were then moved to any other stage (even backward to a previous one).

Total hours gives you an idea of how long your organization spends on candidates in each stage by computing the sum of the Interview Time for all interviews scheduled for a given stage or milestone. This can be useful in deciding whether you are wasting too many hours interviewing candidates early in the process who are not making it very far through the pipeline.

Note: The total column of the report will also count candidates who never actually moved into that specific stage, but bypassed it to go to later stage. For example, if a candidate was moved from the Application Review stage directly to the Offer stage, that candidate will contribute to the total number for every stage in between both.

Pipeline history and pass-through rates report visualization

The pipeline history and pass-through rates report will visualize the stages or milestones for all jobs included in the report as a funnel.

While the shape of the report will always be a funnel, the height of each segment will represent the total candidate volume for that stage or milestone. The taller that a segment is on the visualization, the more candidates are in the stage or milestone.

Note: The report will not display a stage or milestone in the visualization if there has yet to be a candidate to reach that stage.

Note: If the total number of unique job stage names exceeds 12 stages, you'll need to filter the report to show rows by milestones to view the visualization.

You can hover over any section in the visualization for that stage's or milestone's total number of candidates and pass-rate.

For jobs that receive a large number of applications, the height of the Application Review stage can make it challenging to quickly understand the proportions of the other stages or milestones in the report. Toggle Hide Application Review Stage to visualize your data without this stage.

Since the visualization reflects data from your filters, changes made to your report via Filters and more, like adjusting dates or jobs selected, will impact the visualization.
