The number of hires made in a given period can be a strong indicator of how your recruiting teams are performing. You may discern patterns in an acquisition like bottlenecks or pain points to investigate further.
With the number of hires report, your organization can gain quick insight into how many new employees were hired per job, department, or recruiter over a given period of time.
Number of hires report
To create a number of hires report, click Reports on your navigation bar.
Click Essential Reports on the left.
Scroll to the Share Progress with Executives section, and click Number of Hires.
The number of hires report will generate.
The number of hires report will show information for the following:
- Job
- Requisition ID
- Total hires
Note: By default, the number of hires report will show every open job where you have the appropriate permissions.
Number of hires report filters
Click Filters and more to apply filters to further refine your report.
The number of hires report can be filtered by the following:
- Job
- Job status
- Department
- Office
- User
- Hiring team role
- Custom job field
- Date hired
You can organize rows by job, recruiter, source, or department.
You can organize columns by week, month, quarter, or year.
Note: The number of hires report can display a maximum of 12 columns per report, regardless of the periodization or date ranges selected. If necessary, run multiple reports to capture the data you need. If there are not yet 12 weeks in the current year, the report will default to the last 12 weeks of the previous year.
Click Apply after applying any filters to your report.
Number of hires report visualization
The number of hires report will visualize the total employee hires for the filters and periods set.
The visualization presents Total hires row values as a single line with the number of hires displayed on the y-axis and the periodization (columns) on the x-axis.
Note: The number of hires report does not support individual trend lines per row.
Hover over any data point in the visualization for an exact number of hires made for that period.
Since the visualization displays data for the Total row in your report, changes made to your report via Filters and more, like adjusting date filters or jobs selected, will impact the visualization.
