Sometimes, you may reject a prospect or candidate and then reconsider them at a later time. They may have adopted new skills that apply to the original job you considered them for, or their qualifications may apply to a job you've recently opened.
With Greenhouse, you can ensure you don't lose access to prospects and candidates even after you've rejected them. You can also convert them to an active prospect at any time.

Convert a single prospect or candidate
From the prospect or candidate profile, find the Tools section on the left side of the page. Click Add as Prospect to.
Fill out the prospect information, including Specific Job, Department and/or Office. Scroll to fill in more details. When you're done, click Add as Prospect.
Convert prospects or candidates in bulk
To start, click the All Candidates tab at the top of the page. From the All Candidates page, click the Application Type filter. Select Candidates + Prospects.
To show only rejected prospects and candidates, click the Profile Details filter. Under Status, select Rejected.
By default, the Active filter is applied. Remove the Active filter by clicking the X next to the filter at the top of the page.
Next, click Bulk Actions. Select the prospects or candidates you want to convert to active prospects. Then, click Edit Selected.
Find the Candidates section in the window, then click Start New Prospect Process.
Fill out the prospect information, including Specific Job, Department and/or Office. Scroll to fill in more details, and be sure to include a Source and Who Gets Credit.
When you're done, click Start New Prospect Process.
The prospects and candidates will be converted to active prospects for the Specific Job, Department and/or Office you selected.
You can view the new job prospect in their profile in either the Jobs tab (in prospect profiles) or On Jobs tab (in candidate profiles). The most recent prospect or application will appear at the top.
