Can I schedule directly to Google Calendar without leaving Greenhouse?

If you connect your Google Calendar to Greenhouse, you can schedule directly to the Calendar without ever leaving Greenhouse!

First thing's first. Make sure that your Google account is connected to Greenhouse. Here's how:

  • From the main dashboard, click the Integrations tab
  • Scroll down to Google Calendar under the Scheduling Tools section
  • Click Connect, and complete the steps to authorize the connection. You'll see a confirmation pop up at the top of the page if the authorization attempt was successful.

Once connected, when you open up the window to schedule an interview, you can click on the Settings button to collapse additional fields to select the type of calendar you are using and the specific Google calendar that you wish to schedule to (which includes all Calendars you have write-access to), as well as the new Send Invites to Interviewers button.

    Hi Shaunagh,

    That's a great question! To add a google hangout, you must edit the invite on your calendar to add this feature. If you press 'Open in Google' the invite will open automatically so you can enable the hangout before sending to the interviewers.

    Hello Christine,

    Thank you for reaching out about this! When you schedule an Interview via Greenhouse, the invitation that you're sending via Google Calendar is for the Interviewer. These communications are not intended to be candidate-facing, as they contain the link to the Interview Kit. If you'd like to include a Google Hangout, and want to ensure that the candidate has access to that link, you'll want to paste the Google Hangout link into the Candidate Interview Confirmation email, rather than sending the Interviewer Invitation to the candidate directly.

    Hi. Where can I find an answer to how GH is not showing up times in my time zone which is GMT +5.30. It keeps showing in Pacific Time Zone and candidates who submit times in their zones show up in odd times like 11:30pm etc. My google calendar is already integrated with GH.
