If you're planning to post an open job to an external job board, or if you'll be marketing the job in some other way, you'll want to be sure to create unique URLs to the online application so that you'll be able to track where the candidates came from.
To create a custom Source, head to the Configure>Custom Options>Sources page and create your new source. It will then appear on the dropdowns for tracking links and on the candidate's Details tab!
Once the job has been opened, and once the Job Post has been created and made live, you will be able to generate a unique URL by taking the following steps:
When you are viewing an individual job, click the Job Setup tab, and then click Job Posts. As long as the job post is live, you should see a Tracking Link icon displayed to the right of job title.
Click Tracking Link, and you will see a list of sources. Greenhouse provides you with a default list of sources, but feel free to add to this list by going to the Configure Tab and then to Custom Options > Sources. You'll only need to add the source once, and then you'll be able to use it for any job going forward.
Select the source from the list, and then click OK. Greenhouse will generate a unique link, which you will need to copy.
Whatever marketing you're doing, provide that link to show candidates where they need to click to apply. For example, if you are creating a post on Dribbble, when you create the post, you'll just need to paste the link in the "URL to job description" field.
