Overview
With Greenhouse’s upgraded job boards, you can now quickly and easily customize the look and feel of your job board to reflect your organization’s brand. You no longer need to loop in an engineer since you can customize your job board with just a few clicks.
Migrating to the new job boards not only provides an easier and more efficient way to customize your job boards, but helps your job board meet a higher level of accessibility compliance and allows you to take advantage of new job board features.
Get started
You can customize 1 to 4 of your organization's job boards. To get started, navigate to the Configure Job Boards page. (Configure > Job Boards)
Select Board settings from the left navigation panel, then turn New job board on.
Filter by office, department and custom fields
In Board settings, you can choose whether applicants can filter jobs by department, office or custom fields. When turned on, your job board displays Department, Office, and custom drop-down menus.
To select filters, scroll to Allow jobs to be filtered by... and choose the filters you'd like to display on your job board.
Display hiring manager and recruiter
Displaying the hiring manager and recruiter's information allows internal candidates to reach out to discuss the position before applying.
Up to three hiring manager or recruiter names are displayed for each job. When this option is turned on, names are shown on both the job board and the job post.
Style and customization
To change your job board and candidate-facing page's colors, fonts, and buttons, select Style & customization from the left navigation panel.
Colors
You can choose custom colors for your buttons, fonts, and fields.
Choosing an Accent color theme populates the job board's accent colors automatically.
You can also choose each color individually by selecting from the dropdown menu, entering a unique hex code, or by clicking the color tile to open a color wheel.
Tips for choosing colors
Brand alignment: If you’re working with an established brand, ensure that you’re using your organization’s color pallet with Alwane.
Contrast: Verify that your colors are visually distinct and that text will be legible with the Color Contrast Checker.
Inspiration: If you’re starting from scratch, get color pallet inspiration in Color Hunt and review an extensive list of colors and hex codes in Colorhexa.
Fonts
Fonts on the job board are grouped by primary and secondary font:
- Primary font applies to your job board title and headings.
- Secondary font applies to all other text on the board, including job name and location.
In the example below, the primary font is surrounded by an orange box. All other text is the secondary font.
