Owners and Coordinators in Greenhouse Onboarding can grant managers one of the following permissions related to their employees' onboarding tasks:
- View-only permissions
- Edit permissions
This gives you the freedom to determine whether managers in your organization can edit tasks assigned to their new hires and direct reports.
Assign managers access to view tasks
From your Greenhouse Onboarding homepage, navigate to Settings > Data Flow > Permissions.
On the Permissions page, scroll to the Default Access section.
Click Edit next to Manager Additional Access.
On the Manager Additional Access page, mark the Can only view the tasks that have been assigned to direct reports.
With this permission enabled, managers can view all assigned tasks in their direct reports' employee profiles.
Managers with this permission won't be able to edit employee tasks that were created by another user.
Note: With view-only permissions enabled, managers can still edit any tasks they personally created for their direct reports. They won't have permission to edit other tasks, such as organization-wide tasks created by Owners or Coordinators.
Assign managers access to edit tasks
From your Greenhouse Onboarding homepage, navigate to Settings > Data Flow > Permissions.
On the Permissions page, scroll to the Default Access section.
Click Edit next to Manager Additional Access.
On the Manager Additional Access page, mark the Can view and edit the tasks that have been assigned to direct reports.
With this permission enabled, managers can view and edit any onboarding tasks from their direct reports' employee profiles.
