A webhook is a simple notification system. When an event occurs in Greenhouse Recruiting, like when a candidate is hired, and a webhook is configured for the event, data about the event can be sent to a specified destination called an endpoint.
In some cases, you may need to edit an existing webhook to accommodate changes to the receiving endpoint.
Tip: Check out Create a webhook for steps to create a new webhook.
Edit a webhook
To edit an existing webhook, click the Configure icon on your navigation bar then select Dev Center on the left.
Click Web hooks.
Click webhooks again on the next page.
Scroll to the Edit webhook section to find your webhooks. Click the Edit icon beside your webhook.
You can update any configuration settings for the webhook and click Update when you're finished.
Deactivate a webhook
Deactivating a webhook prevents the webhook from sending notifications, but it maintains the webhook's configuration for later use if needed.
To deactivate a webhook, scroll to the Edit webhook section to find your webhook.
Click the Edit icon beside the webhook, and deactivate it by choosing Yes.
When finished, click Update webhook.
Delete a webhook
Deleting a webhook completely removes the webhook and its configuration from your Greenhouse Recruiting account.
To delete an active or deactivated webhook, scroll to the Edit webhook section to find your webhook.
Click the Remove icon beside the webhook to delete it.
Click Ok to confirm, and the webhook will be deleted.
Note: Deleted webhooks cannot be recovered.
