A web hook is a simple notification system. When an event occurs in Greenhouse Recruiting, like when a candidate is hired, and a web hook is configured for the event, data about the event can be sent to a specified destination called an endpoint.
In some cases, you may need to edit an existing web hook to accommodate changes to the receiving endpoint.
Tip: Check out Create a web hook for steps to create a new web hook.
Edit a web hook
To edit an existing web hook, click the Configure icon on your navigation bar then select Dev Center on the left.
Click Web hooks.
Click Web hooks again on the next page.
Scroll to the Edit Web Hook section to find your web hooks. Click the Edit icon beside your web hook.
You can update any configuration settings for the web hook.
When finished, click Update web hook.
Deactivate a web hook
Deactivating a web hook prevents the web hook from sending notifications, but it maintains the web hook's configuration for later use if needed.
To deactivate a web hook, scroll to the Edit Web Hook section to find your web hook.
Click the Edit icon beside the web hook, and then select Yes for Disabled.
When finished, click Update web hook.
Delete a web hook
Deleting a web hook completely removes the web hook and its configuration from your Greenhouse Recruiting account.
To delete an active or deactivated webhook, scroll to the Edit Web Hook section to find your web hook.
Click the Remove icon beside the web hook to delete it.
Click Ok to confirm, and the webhook will be deleted.
Note: Deleted web hooks cannot be recovered.
