A webhook is a simple notification system. When an event occurs in Greenhouse Recruiting, like when a candidate is hired, and a webhook is configured for the event, data about the event can be sent to a specified destination called an endpoint.

In some cases, you may need to edit an existing webhook to accommodate changes to the receiving endpoint.

Tip: Check out Create a webhook for steps to create a new webhook.

Edit a webhook

To edit an existing webhook, click the Configure Configure icon icon on your navigation bar then select Dev Center on the left.

Deactivate a webhook

Deactivating a webhook prevents the webhook from sending notifications, but it maintains the webhook's configuration for later use if needed.

To deactivate a webhook, scroll to the Edit webhook section to find your webhook.
